A friend of mine posted on Facebook photos of his sons wedding. The interesting thought occured to me, he would never have met his wife, if I hadn't decided to go to this pub when he wanted to go to another pub. We went to my pub, he met his wife, and all these years later his son has now got married ....wired.

Words for the Day; please share
by compound complex ingreetings, word lovers:.
in my job, i work with words and wrangle them into shape, well, in a manner of speaking.
one word might be mistaken for another, a word with either a similar or identical sound.

Words are part of who we are.
Words are stories that will drive us mad.
Words are friendship in the life we hide.
Words are mumble jumble.
Words are eternal.
Words are pictures carved on ancient stone.
Words are Hitler, Mussolini, My Mother, Watchtower and God carved in stone.
Words are my thoughts in controversial comment,
Words are what make me seem stupid.
Words what's the point?
I haven't got a clue?

This is What I Would Need in Order to Believe
by cofty insometimes theists challenge atheists about what evidence would be required before they would believe.
various unlikely scenarios are offered in reply.
i have taken the bait myself in the past.. i think the correct answer is much more ordinary.

The only answer I can give to the O.P is ....what's the point?
Personally I am very angry, that these threads go to so many posts and not one straight answer to the O.P was given. That's not to say the O.P can't be answered, but if the O.P can be answered it obviously can't be answered in words.
So I think this thread is about Rugby players playing a match with Football players, and both sides are playing their game. It's gound hog day.....but the thread has become a competition, and in my opinion, the believers don't have the stuff to back up the challenge of the O.P.

My replies to a failed job application:-
Q) " Sex"
A) " Yes please"
Q) age:-
A) " Ancient"
Q) Education.
A) University of life. Failed.
I didn't even get an interview.
Wouldnt it be better if the words of Russell and Rutherford had never been written? Wouldn't it be beautiful if we never heard the words of the Watchtower?
Usng words is an art. Unless words are the shortest distance to bringing people together then we should all aspire to the condition of wordlessness.
Compound you have an art with words, as do those who write the Watchtower. But the difference is in how you use your words is πand that's the difference π

Great replies. Thanks.
I guess it takes time before we discover the fruit beneath the shell of anyone. Anyway as a witness I was defiantly a wolf in sheeps clothing. I am still the same person, it's just that I am now my own fruit. I guess that's why I posed the O.P, because I was once a wolf in sheeps clothing and never even realized it.

Just my personal observation, but belivers seem " NOT" to have had a big dissapontment in their belief system, be it spiritually, or mentally. Personally I think this is what needs to happen in order for "belivers " Not" to believe?"
Therefore Cofty's list of why he doesn't believe is as beneficial to belivers, as Cofty pulling his trousers down. And the reason I say that is that it's true. Thinking ruthless logic to a believer will change their thinking is naive.
But you never know, anything can happen in life...my life on the ministry taught me teaching fantasy and a "paradise on earth" was an easier sale than " we live and simply die". The reason was I only had return calls with those interested in "my" message.
Reality checks are not always welcome.

Thanks for the replies. I think many of the comments have shown that posters had more affection for the school when a little independent thought was allowed.
compound and complex " I enjoyed the talks when we had more " freedom of speech" as well as access to research materials now disallowed"
Smiddy " The older publications had a level of gravitas that has gone missing"
And the above comments reminded that i did once look on the school affectionally. But I am not sure I could stomach it now.

G. " If " u" want to achieve something in life, choose the best education"
And whilst I appreciate you got something positive from the TMS, I am honestly not sure I did. Anyway i am glad I can teach my boy to knock on different educational opportunities.
p.s respect for your further educational achievements.
truth-b-known:- I appreciate your comment about skills for public speaking, but personally I believe I (we) would have learnt this skill regardless.

A portion of chips from the chippy, with lots of salt, a healthy splash of sarsons malt vinegar & topped with daddies sauce yummy.
A donner kebab with a strong chilly sauce and lots of green pepperoni....ummmm paradise.
